Rawalpindi: Pakistan Army on Friday said that the Indian Army has assured them to return the body of a Pakistani soldier, who mistakenly crossed the Line of Control (LOC) and was later killed by the opponent army.
In a statement issued on Friday, the Inter Services Public Relations (ISPR) said that the deputy general military officers (DGMOs) of Pakistan and Indian army discussed the matter on the hotline.
Pakistan strongly condemned the killing of its soldier, Ikhlaq, who joined Pakistan Army four years ago.
“He was murdered in the cold blooded manner by Indian army soon after he disclosed his identity,” the statement said adding that Pakistan had returned several Indian soldiers who had mistakenly crossed the border.
