Lahore: Eight members of Punjab Assembly belonging to Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) and two MPA’s from Pakistan Muslim League-Quaid (PML-Q) have announced to join Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz, here on Friday.
The announcements were made in a meeting of the defectors of the other parties with Chief Minister Punjab Shahbaz Sharif at Model Town, Lahore. Opposition Leader in National Assembly Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan, Zaeem Qadri and other leaders were also present on the occasion.
The PPP leaders who announced to join PML-N include Rana Babar, Javed Allauddin, Rana Munawar, Nishat Khan Daha, Jamil Shah and others.
PPP MPA Uzma Bokari, who along her husband Samiullah Bokahri, on Friday morning resigned from the party, also announced to join the PML-N in a separate meeting.
Two PML-Q leaders who joined PML-N include Dewan Ashiq Hussain Bukhari and Pir Aslam Bodla.
