Lahore: The Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) on Tuesday issued notices to 22 Punjab Assembly’s (PA) lawmaker over holding dual nationality.
Sources said that former diplomat named Asif Aizdi had filed reference in the ECP against the 22 lawmakers. He pleaded that despite submission of oath in the ECP the lawmakers were still holding a dual national.
The sources added that the ECP would start hearing on the reference against the lawmakers from February 7.
Meanwhile, the ECP has also summoned a meeting in which all the four provincial secretaries of the commission would take part.
