Islamabad: The Supreme Court of Pakistan has given National Accountability Bureau (NAB) chairman Fasih Bokhari a week to hire his lawyer in a contempt of court case.
A three-member bench headed by Chief Justice Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhry heard the contempt of court against Bokhari on Monday.
The NAB chief demanded some time to hire a lawyer, upon which the CJ gave him seven days.
Meanwhile, Prosecutor General NAB KK Agha requested that a larger bench be constituted to hear the case.
The Chief Justice replied that a three-member bench was hearing this case, while a two member bench was hearing a related case which made this a larger bench.
The hearing of the case has been adjourned till February 13.
The court had issued a contempt of court notice to Fasih Bokhari over the letter he wrote to President Asif Ali Zardari, accusing the Supreme court of pressurising NAB officials for investigations.
