Karachi: Karachi police on Tuesday arrested three armed suspects near Bilawal House, the presidential camp office, and held a vehicle, The News Tribe Urdu reports.
The armed suspects onboard in a car carrying foreign number plate tried to flee when the police officers, performing security duties at the camp, stopped them for checking.
The police commandos chased the vehicle and arrested all the three accused and recovered arms from their possession.
It is pertinent to mention here that Pakistan’s President Asif Ali Zardari, Interior Minister Rehman Malik and Bilalwal Bhutto Zardari, the chairman of the Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) and other top officials were also present in the camp at the time of the incident.
