Quetta: Capital City Police Officer (CCPO) Quetta Mir Zubair Mehmood on Sunday confirmed the role of three Criminal Investigation (CID) officials allegedly involved in the kidnapping for ransom of a citizen.
Addressing a press briefing in Quetta, the CCPO said that SSP CID Tariq Manzoor and two other DSPs were suspended for their alleged role in the kidnapping.
“All proofs and documents were handed over to the police,” he said adding that a challan of three officials would be soon presented in the court.
Meanwhile, Zubair also refuted the claims that there were controversies between the Frontier Constabulary, who carried out the raid at CID Police station to arrest them, and police and said that black sheep’s were present in every government department.
“FC and Police coordinate joint search operations in several parts of the city,” he added.
The CCPO further announced that a one man-commission comprised of him was formed by home secretary Balochistan, which will probe the matter and submit its report to the government.
