Islamabad: Pakistan Interior Minister Rehman Malik has claimed that the participants of the long march have arms with them which is a violation of charter.
Talking to a private news television, Malik said that it was decided that no marcher would carry arms with himself, however some participants had arms and they opened fire.
He said that they would not allow the long march to go towards the parliament house, adding that the Rangers had been directed to recover arms from the long marchers.
Meanwhile, Tahir-ul-Qadri, the founder of Tehrik-i-Minhajul Qurran (TMQ), alleged that security forces had opened fire on the marchers and fired shells.
