Kingston: At least three tourists belonging to United States (US) were killed in a traffic collision in Jamaica, here on Thursday.
According to news reports, authorities said that the women were killed when their car crashed into a minibus just east of Montego Bay on Wednesday. The victims were identified as 76-year-old Gloria Capleton of Brooklyn, N.Y. and 53-year-old Claudette Grand and 34-year-old Vanessa Brown of Upper Marlboro, Md.
Police say the driver of the car carrying the women is hospitalized but expected to recover. They say another passenger in the car received medical treatment and was released, along with the driver and several passengers of the minibus.
Meanwhile, the police was investigating the accident in order to find out the real facts of the incident.
