Islamabad: Pakistan’s National Press Club (NPC) has condemned use of abusive language against journalists by Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) chief Altaf Hussain.
The club’s newly elected governing body also unanimously passed a resolution in this regard in a meeting led by NPC President Farooq Faisal Khan.
Club’s secretary Shehryar Khan, Finance Secretary Afzal Javed, Ejaz Shah, Rizwan Khan, Mubarak Zeb Khan, Abdur Razzaq Sayyal, Asghar Chaudhry, Azhar Abidi, Javed Idrees Qureshi, Sagheer Ahmed Chaudhry, Basheer Usmani, Abdur Rasheed Khan, Yasir Malik, Nayyar Iqbal Khwaja and Atta Rajar also attended the meeting.
The participants said that targeting the whole journalistic community is condemnable. The criticism should be specific and if anybody had any reservations about journalists, they should name them.
