Karachi: National Electric Power Regulatory (Nepra) has increased the price of electricity for Karachi Electric Supply Company.
The decision taken in the context of fuel adjustment of October will cause the price to become rupees 0.46 costlier per unit for the consumers.
However, it will only come in effect after an elaborate and final verdict on tariff cases underway in Islamabad High Court.
A national daily reported that lifeline consumers will be exempted from the rise in the price.
