Lahore: Punjab government has banned usage of Indian material for the preparation of three drugs amid rising toll of deaths in the provincial capital.
The bar was imposed by the special committee of Chief Minister Punjab, Mohammad Shahbaz Sharif on Saturday.
A top official confirmed the news, adding that the move was made in view of the substandard material use in the medicines.
It may be mentioned here more than 34 people have been killed while several are being treated because of the reaction of the said pharmaceutical product.
