Karachi: Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) Altaf Hussain on Tuesday asked party activists to prepare themselves for the deadline of Pakistan Awami Tehrik (PAT) leader Dr. Tahir-ul-Qadri.
In his December 23, 2012 speech at Minar-i-Pakistan, Tahir-ul-Qadri gave 18 days time (till January 10, 2013) to government to change the current system as per the constitution of the country and said that he would hold a public meeting of 4-million people in Islamabad on January 14 if their demands were not met.
The MQM chief specially asked youngsters to prepare themselves to for the PAT march from December 14 in order to crush the feudal system in the country.
“MQM activists shall wait for the Rabita Committee announcement on the issue,” he added.
Mr Hussain further said that it was necessary to made amendments in the current electoral system in order to bring change in the society.
He further said that MQM along with Qadri would end the corrupt ruling system and injustice from the society.
Speaking on the occasion, Dr Tahir-ul-Qadri said that the MQM and PAT had become two bodies and one soul.
The PAT Chairman further said that the government should form an unbiased interim setup which should hold free and fair polls in the country.
