Doha: The second edition of Asian’s Men Hockey Champions Trophy would commence on Thursday (today) with Pakistan taking on Oman in their first match. Mohammad Imran will lead the Pakistani team in the tournament.
The tournament, which would continue for eight days, comprises of top eight teams of the continent. The teams include Pakistan, India, Oman, China, Malaysia and Japan.
Overall eighteen matches will be played between the six teams in the tournament with final and the position matches to be played on December 27.
In the last event, which was played in China, India defeated Pakistan in the final of the tournament. But now analysts are considering Pakistani as the most favourite nation to win the tournament as they had recently attained third position in the Hockey Champions Trophy tournament.
