Section 144 imposed in Gilgit-Baltistan for indefinite period

Gilgit: The government of Gilgit-Baltistan Wednesday imposed Section 144 CrPc for indefinite period on the deteriorating law and order situation in the province.

Deputy Commissioner GB said that gathering of five people at a place, display of weapons and use of loudspeakers will be prohibited under the fresh directives. Motorcycle riding in the province will be banned from Thursday.

Meanwhile, it was announced that Korakoram University will be closed until Monday. It may be mentioned here that six people including five policemen were injured in a clash between two student wings at the varsity on Wednesday.
