Islamabad: The Supreme Court of Pakistan (SC) Justice Jawad. S. Khwaja on Friday remarked that if it is proved that the transfers of the government employees was incorrect than a notice would be served against the officials responsible for it.
While hearing a suo moto case of harassing government employees, the apex court ordered Attorney General of Pakistan Irfan Qadir to submit report regarding the stance on harassing three officials, ADCG Islamabad Maryam Khan, Assistant Commissioner Saddar Rabia Aurangzeb and SP Dr Khurram Rashid.
Justice Jawad remarked that the SC order in the transfer case was obvious and there was no ambiguity which was creating problems for the government officials to understand it.
Rabia Aurangzeb told the apex court that she was not given any posting since three months adding that she was appointed on the post of Assistant Commissioner on July 20 but was deprived of the post just after 26 days.
The court said that it is necessary for the government to safeguard the employment of the government officials as they were not private employees of anyone. The case ws adjourned for indefinite period.
