Mumbai: Despite rehabilitation of cricket ties between Pakistan and India, the Indian Premier League (IPL) Governing Council aims to keep Pakistani players out from the upcoming season of the cash-awash cricket league.
According to Indian media, the Governing Council of IPL does not seem to be in agreement to include Pakistani players in the sixth edition of the Premier league.
“The Governing Council is not ready to take in players from the bordering country and would instruct the franchises before bidding to avoid buying players from Pakistan,” India media reports quoting Indian Cricket Board high official.
The Indian Board will make an official announcement regarding this, after Indo-Pak cricket series later this month as the Board intends to earn high out of the much awaited cricket series.
