Karachi: Great influx of visitors forced organizers of Karachi International book fair to start exhibition before scheduled time on Friday.
Organizers say the great interest of people had proved that trend of book reading was on rise in the society.
Giving details of this pleasant trend, Chairman Pakistan Publishers and Booksellers Association Aziz Khalid said the official starting timing of the event was 9am but the exhibition was started earlier as crowd flow was increasing with passage of time.
Aziz said that it was first time we had made been accommodating 321 books stalls.
“Other exhibitions are getting thinner by the time due to bad law and order situation in the city; but book fairs are showing consistent increase in visitors,” he added.
Aziz also said that huge participation and increasing interest of public in the exhibition was a good sign.
