Washington: Finance Minister, Abdul Hafeez Shaikh has said that the Pakistan will not face food crisis in future, while economic growth rate is on the rise in the country.
Speaking to the media persons at the Pakistan embassy in United States, Hafeez said that the growth rate will hopefully increase to four percent next year.
He further said that tax receiving improved with 300 billion rupees last year. Â He also said that government has significantly cut its expenses during the time span of four and a half years.
The federal minister said families of 4.6 million destitute are being supported with financial aid. He maintained that institutions were provided with a strong base through economic reforms. He said that he also met with Pakistani businessmen during his visit.
The visit of Abdul Hafeez Shaikh is aimed at reviewing economic ties between the two countries in a comprehensive manner.
