Lahore: Karachi Zebras, in its fourth group A match surpassed Quetta Bears convincingly by 7 wickets clearing the way to reach the next stage of the enthralling Faysal Twenty 20 Cup.
In the match played at Lahore City Cricket Association Ground, Quetta winning the toss and batted first scored an insufficient target of 125.
Mohibullah was the only batsman who played a slow yet venerable innings of 44 while Mir Wais and Jalat Khan scored rapid 21 and 25, reaching the team at 125.
Haaris Ayaz bowled an excellent spell taking 3 wickets giving just 23 runs.
In retort, Zebras went off to a positive start with Fahad Iqbal scoring an unbeaten 53 runs while Saeed Bin Nasir leading the team to victory with quick 23 of 17. Fahad Iqbal was named the player of the match.
The Faysal Twenty 20 Cup featuring 14 regional teams commenced at the provincial capital on Dec 1 and will continue to be held until 9th of the month.
