Lahore: Muhammad Hamza Shahbaz Sharif, son of Punjab’s Chief Minister Mian Shahbaz Sharif, has resigned from the key post of Chairman Punjab Sports Board.
The Punjab government has accepted his resignation which he sent late yesterday night, sources said.
The sources say that Election Commission barred him from addressing a jalsa in Punjab as an official of Provincial organization few days back that became the reason on his resignation.
The selection of new Chairman Sports Board Punjab (SBP) will be announced later, sources added.
It is expected that former cricketer Pakistan Cricket team Aamer Sohail, who is also the Vice-Chairman of the Board will replace him as the Chairman.
