Islamabad: Pakistan’s President Asif Ali Zardari has once again dismissed views of delay in general elections and reassured the nation that the general elections would be held on time.
In a message released on 46th founding Day of Pakistan People’s Party (PPP), the PPP Co-Chairman assured the party workers and other political forces that as per constitution, the general elections would be held on time.
“Political forces shall prepare themselves for the next elections,” he said adding that the next elections would be conducted in free and fair manner.
The President also said that the current democratic government had fought well against the conspiracies hatched up by certain forces.
“We will continue to reinforce the democratic institutions,” he added.
