Khulna: Bangladesh scored 365 runs on the loss of eight wickets against West Indies on the opening day of second and final test at Sheikh Abu Naser Stadium Khulna on Wednesday.
Mohammed Abul Hasan was unbeaten with his 100 and Mohammad Mahmudullah was not out at 72 at end of the day.
Bangladesh captain Mushfiq-Ur-Rahman opted to bat first after winning the toss. The team had to bear first loss at the total score of five when Nazimuddin became first victim of Powell b Edwards at four runs.
In second wicket partnership Tamim Iqbal and Shahriar Nafees scored 59 runs and supported the innings but Nafees went back to pavilion after scoring 26 runs.
Bangladesh continued to lose wickets by very short intervals however the unbeaten ninth wicket partnership between Hasan and Mahmudullah of 172 runs saved the day.
Powell b Edwards performed excellent from West Indies and got five wickets.
