Islamabad: Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) chief Nawaz Sharif said that US role regarding mass killings in Gaza by Israel is extremely unsuitable.
Talking to the media in the federal capital, the PML-N chief said that the Pakistani government should take steps to stop genocide in Gaza by Israel.
He also condemned the attack on Jamaat-e-Islami’s former chief Qazi Hussain Ahmed’s convoy saying that it can affect the election process.
Of Karachi target killings, he said that the government is only interested to ban pillion riding and usage of cell phones but the concerned authorities had never arrested and punished a single miscreant yet. He added that if the government took serious action against the armed groups of political organisations, crimes in Karachi would ultimately vanish.
When asked to comment on the statement of the Minster of Religious Affairs Khursheed Shah regarding military operation in Karachi, he sarcastically said that if he was asking the government about the operation, he should himself come out rather than pointing his finger on the opposition.
The PML-N chief also said that the six witnesses in Wali Khan Babar’s case were murdered, adding that the concerned authorities should unveil the truth and arrest the culprits.
