Mianwali: A former police officer on Friday confessed all the illegal actions committed by him during his career, saying that he had killed 25 people extra judicially and taken bribes during the career.
The retired DSP, Ismatullah Khan Niazi, confessed this before a group of reporters at a press conference.
His emotions got the better of him during the conference and tears were seen flowing down his cheeks as he continued to admit his crimes.
The retired officer said that he had “committed a lot of sins” and “made a lot of money” during his work as a Punjab Police official.
Niazi said he was ready to be persecuted for his crimes, asking the government to seize all of his wealth and distribute it among the poor.
Responding to a question about what had motivated him to confess, Khan said he had been betrayed by his wife and family but refuse to explain.
He advised the police officers and personnel to keep themselves away from taking bribes or doing anything illegal or they will end up like him.
