Karachi: Chief Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM), Altaf Hussain in a rare move has condemned in the strongest terms the Israeli aggression in Gaza during the political party’s conference held to express solidarity with Palestinians.
Sources said that the participants of the moot also unanimously passed a resolution to slam the victimization of dwellers of Gaza on the hands of Israel.
Altaf Hussain said that the aggression is a violation of basic human rights and is bound to increase instability in the world. He stressed that the territorial boundaries of Palestine should be respected by everyone.
He called upon the United Nations to play its role to bring the violence to a halt and restraining Israel from repeating it in future.
News reports said MQM chief expressed that every member of the Muslim Ummah is with Palestinians and they should not consider themselves alone. He observed that the aggressor is bombing and shelling innocent and unarmed citizens.
On the occasion, Altaf also condemned sectarian killings in Karachi and called for unity among the ranks of the Sunnis and Shiites.
