Lahore: Pakistan Cricket Team Chief Selector Iqbal Qasim has said that no player including Shahid Afridi is an automatic choice to include in national squad.
While speaking to media persons in Lahore on Friday, Qasim said that former Pakistan captain needs to perform in domestic matches to give the selectors a solid reason to include him in the squad for a short series against India.
The chief selector along with other the members of the selection committee will follow the domestic Twenty20 Championship to observe the performance the cricketers.
“The National T20 Cup will help the selectors to pick the best players up for Pakistan’s eagerly-awaited tour of India,” he said.
