Islamabad: Pakistan Chief Justice Iftikhar Mohammad Chaudhry while hearing Reko Diq case on Thursday remarked that the country’s court does not accept any company on papers.
Balochistan’s Advocate General Amanullah Kinrani informed the three-member bench of the apex court headed by the chief justice that 1000 square kilometer area could have been given to the company to search the minerals but the company was given 13,000 square kilometer area by relaxation of rules.
On the occasion, the CJ remarked that the country’s court did not accept any ‘paper company’, adding that the documents would tell whether the company was real or fake.
The CJ said that what could be done if an independent state did not fight its own case.
Later, the court adjourned the hearing of the case till Friday.
