Karachi: The supply of Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) has been restored in the Sindh province of Pakistan after a two-day suspension due to the shortage of the facility.
Long queues of cars, rickshaws, pickups and other vehicles were witnessed in the city of Karachi after the restoration of supply as people became complainant of the suspension and the trouble they faced because of it.
Talking to the media, they expressed anger and disgust on the decision, saying ‘government had no regard for the common people and what they are going through’. People, especially the office-goers faced extreme difficulty to carry on with their daily chores because of the seizure.
On the other hand, Secretary Petroleum Pakistan, Dr. Asim Hussain has suggested that the supply of CNG should be restricted for public transport. He commented that ‘people travel in luxury cars and use cheap CNG’.
