Islamabad: Chief Justice of Pakistan, Justice Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhry has said that no institution alone can ensure governance to the people of a country.
He remarked that judiciary has become a role model for other institutions and enjoys confidence and trust of the common man. He was expressing these views at the ‘full court conference’ called by him to review the pace of dispensation of cases.
Justice Iftikhar said that no institution may interfere with the other and all must work in their respective ambit.
He termed the conference a routine activity, adding that the court has the right to carryout judicial review of any concerning matter.
In addition to the CJP, the conference was attended by 14 other judges.
