Quetta: The Balochistan Assembly on Tuesday unanimously approved a resolution, reposing confidence in Chief Minister and suspended member of Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) Nawab Aslam Raisani.
Balochistan National Party (BNP-Awami) leader and provincial minister Ahsan Shah tabled the resolution, which was unanimously adopted by 45 present members of the assembly.
Acting speaker Matiullah Agha chaired the assembly session while chief Minister Aslam Raisani was also present during the session.
On the other hand, opposition members, PPP provincial president and minister Mir Sadiq Imrani and Minister for Quality Education Jan Ali Changezi didn’t attend the session.
Later, the assembly session was postponed for indefinite period.
Speaking to media representatives after the session, CM Balochistan thanked assembly members for reposing confidence on him and said that those who wanted to pack-up the democratic system have failed in their attempt.
