Islamabad: The Senate’s standing committee on water and power has ordered to issue arrest warrants of Tabish Gohar, Chief Executive Officer of Karachi Electric Supply Corporation, for not attending a crucial meeting of the committee.
The meeting, headed by Senator Zahid Khan, was held in Islamabad to analyse the production capacity and to determine the output produced by the KESC.
The meeting was also to find the per unit production cost to the KESC and to obtain the details of the power supplied to the KESC by the Wapda (Water resources and power development authority).
The committee ordered to issue the arrest warrants of the CEO due to his absence despite being invited.
Chairman of the committee Senator Zahid Khan ordered that Gohar should be presented before the committee on December 3.
