Islamabad: Pakistan Information Minister Qamar Zaman Kaira on Thursday demanded the Supreme Court to take notice of Lieutenant General (r) Hamid Gul’s, the former director-general of the Inter-Services Intelligence (ISI), media statement.
Gul, during an interview on Dawn News — a private news television — had admitted responsibility for creating the Islami Jamhoori Ittehad (IJI) in 1990.
Talking to media in Islamabad, the minister said that Gul had played role in the formation of the Islami Jamhoori Ittehad (IJI) in 1990, adding that the alliance created to prevent Benazir Bhutto’s Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) from winning.
Kaira alleged that the 1990’s elections were rigged at large scale.
He also refused to talk over the CNG prices’ issue saying the matter is being heard in the court.
