Islamabad: Mobile phone service resumed after a shutdown of about three hours in big cities of Pakistan.
The service was made down about 7 am just before Eid Al-Adha prayers due to security concerns. Big cities include Karachi, Lahore, Islamabad, Peshawar and Quetta.
However, most parts of Khyber Pukhtoonkhwa, north west province of the country, faced service shutdown.
People used to say Eid greetings to their friends, relatives and loved ones through mobile particularly sending texts. Such people were irked by closure of the service.
