Bahawalpur: The Inter-University Consortium for Social Sciences, Arts and Humanities (IUCSSAH) will soon start workshops for master trainers in the universities of Southern Punjab and Sindh in collaboration with the Higher Education Commission (HEC) and National Testing Service, said the IUCSSAH chairman.
Dr Muhammad Mukhtar, the chairman, said that the purpose of the workshops was to provide needed guidance and assistance to the scholars and Faculty members of the remote areas.
Mukhtar, who is also a Vice-Chancellor of the Islamia University of Bahawalpur, said that long-term creative steps would be started under the instructions of the HEC to explore the potential of talented scholars and faculty members of the South Punjab and Sindh’s universities.
He said that the proposed programs of conducting master trainer workshops would be started in Sindh with the consultation of the vice-chancellors of the respective universities, educationists and students of those areas. Â The program would also be introduced in the universities of the South Punjab to improve the performance and professional skill of the faculty members for better results, he added.
The executive director of the HEC Dr Sohail H.Naqvi and the IUCSSAH’s focal person Murtaza Noor praised the step of the association and remarked that it would produce remarkable results.
They also said the workshops would soon be started in Sukkar, Nawab Shah, Larakana, Dadu and Khairpur, adding that the National Testing Service (NTS) would fully assist the faculty members.
