Islamabad: The Supreme Court of Pakistan has issued an interim order in a case about weekly pricing of CNG, declaring that linkage of CNG prices with those of other petroleum products is illegal.
The court said the CNG didn’t lie under the category of petroleum. The ruling was given by a two-judge bench headed by Chief Justice Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhry and Justice Jawwad S. Khuwaja.
The SC ordered the Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (OGRA) to revise the price of CNG on November 1.
