Karachi: Unidentified men on Thursday gunned down two Frontier Constabulary (FC) men in Karachi’s Orangi Town area, police and rescue sources said.
The sources said that the assailants attacked the FC check-post situated at Kati Pahari area of the town, killing one FC man Abdul Malik and his friend Nazar Gul at the spot and injuring another.
Law Enforcement Agencies once again targeted in Karachi just day before One day international cricket match between Pakistan and World eleven.
Current incident raised the figure of targeted killings up to 1786 in current year.
74 personnel of security forces were gunned in the Quaid’s city in last 10 months while the security forces and administration of the province seems fail in controlling the situation.
In another incident, unknown terrorist attacked on the checkpost of police in Ahsan Abad area of the financial capital of Pakistan and opened indiscriminate fire resulted killing of two personnel. Eyewitnesses told that the attackers were on motorybykes, the attackers opened fire on the chekpost and killed Zeeshan and Younus on the spot.
The year remained dangerous for the security personnel as 71 policemen were killed in 10 months while two officers of Rangers intelligence and a personnel of Frontier Constabulary were also gunned down by terrorists.
On the other hands three other persons were killed in different areas of the city. Kashif were killed in Gulshan e Iqbal, Irfan in Killed and one unknown in Chakiwara. The bodies were shifted to Civil Hospital.
