Los Angeles: Madonna dedicated a song to Pakistani child activist Malala Yousafzai during her MDNA Tour to Staples Center, Los Angeles on Wednesday.
“This song is for you, Malala,” she said and then went on to sing “Human nature”, The Hollywood Reporter reported.
“This made me cry,” Madonna said. “The 14-year-old schoolgirl who wrote a blog about going to school. The Taliban stopped her bus and shot her. Do you realize how sick that is?”
“Support education! Support women!” she shouted, to the crowd’s cheers of approval.
Madonna performed a striptease in the concert and showed the audience her back where it was written the name of “Malala”.
