Islamabad: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf Chairman Imran Khan has said that Maulana Fazlur Rehman and the government created hurdles for the his peace march and lost opportunity to highlight the issue of drones.
Speaking to media on Monday, Khan thanked his party workers for joining the PTI march despite rumors of terrorist attack. He said that PTI workers had joined the march from across the country.
He said that as many as 150 foreign media outlets covered the event despite being threatened by some elements.
Imran Khan said that his march was a success and whole the world was now speaking against the drones.
He said that his march was stopped by the military because it was too late to enter South Waziristan.He said hurdles were created to stop the march from proceedings toward Waziristan by Maulana Fazlur Rehman and the government.
Khan said that the Pakistani government was covertly allowing the drone attacks in the tribal region. He said that his convoy was welcomed by thousands of tribesmen in Tank and Dera Ismael Khan as they had evacuated South Waziristan due to military operation.
Answering a question he said that he had never changed his stance on MQM chief Altaf Hussain and he had told the Scotland Yard police whatever he had to tell.
He said that Maulana Fazlur Rehman was a right-hand man of President Asif Ali Zardari and was making fortune just like he did in Musharraf’s regime.
