Islamabad: Once again same elements with new faces are closely working with an extremely influential person to launch a “lethal” attack on Chief Justice Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhry, so that the influential person could prove that judiciary was not doing justice with him, a report said.
Pakistan’s leading English daily The News International quoting sources reported that the government despite apparently behaving as a neutral spectator would be backing this attack on the judiciary. “The “explosion” is expected anytime this week,” the paper said.
The paper said when it approached the press secretary to the prime minister a few days back, he said that nothing is in offing against the CJ.
The paper says no hint is being given as to what is the nature of the “explosive material”, but it is claimed that a press conference will be called to “unveil the facts” and they hope the chief justice would resign.
It is not clear, how would the Army and the ISI react to this though the impression is being given as if the establishment is also not happy with the Chief Justice of Pakistan because of the missing persons and the Balochistan cases, the paper said in its Sunday’s edition.
