Imran Khan’s Namal Univiersity is also located in Rikhi in the bottom of a mountain near a lake. The PTI workers chanted slogans “long live Imran Khan” and welcomed the convoy showering rose petals.
The rally would proceed to Minwali, Khan’s home town, from where it would lead to Dera Ismael Khan via Kundian and Chashma Beraj.
The convoy would stay in DI Khan for a night and would leave for South Waziristan through Tanak. According to reports, local administration is making arrangements to stop the rally in Tanak through erecting huge containers.
Speaking to media before leaving Islamabad, Khan said that he was not afraid of anything except Maulana Fazlur Rehman who was busy in poisonous propaganda against him. “They are telling local people that Imran Khan is coming with Jews and Christen,” Khan added.
“Maulanza should be ashamed of calling them (foreigners) Jews and Christians, who have come Pakistan on their own expenses to protest against drone attacks,” Imran Khan said.
