Karachi: The Sindh government on Friday implemented ban on public rallies, processions and political meetings for three days on thoroughfares of the city amid deteriorating law and order situation during the previous rallies against the anti-Islam film.
According to a handout issued by Home Department, Sindh, the decision was made on the request of IG Sindh Fayyaz Leghari.
“No one will be allowed to carry any kind of weapon during the ban,” the handout said.
Reu-e-Hilal Committee Chairman Mufti Muneeb-ur-Rehman has denounced the ban and said that the lovers of Prophet (PBUH) would particapte in the tomorrow’s rally.
Muneeb said that they had informed Governor Sindh Ishrat-ul-Ebad, Commisioner and Rangers official regarding the tommorow’s rally against the anti-Islam film and they had assured their cooperation.
