New York: Pakistan on Friday tabled a resolution against the anti-Islam film, Innocence of Muslims at the foreign minister’s meeting of Organisation of Islamic Co-operation (OIC).
According to reports, the resolution was tabled by Foreign Minister Hina Rabbani Khar in the meeting, held on the sidelines of the UN General Assembly meeting.
The resolution condemned the American-made film mocking Prophet (PBUH) . The film sparked violence across the Muslim world with aggravated people attacking US embassies consulates, schools and fast food chains.
The resolution further demanded to criminalise the acts of insult against Prophet (PBUH) and Islam.
