Islamabad: Pakistan government and intelligence agencies on Friday submitted their combined response in the Supreme Court of Pakistan saying there is no death squad in any agency and no military operation is being carried out in Balochistan.
In the reply, submitted to three-member bench of the apex court hearing the Balochistan case, the agencies have also denied the prence of any missing person in their custody.
The chief secretary told the court that the authorities had also held a special joint meeting on the issue of the province in which the army chief, the defence minister and the attorney general participated.
Chief Justice Iftikhar Mohammad Chaudhry, the head of the bench, remarked that the government had denied any military operation in the province and the presence of any missing person in agencies’ custody. “We see the issue case to case,” the CJ noted.
The CJ said that the president, the prime minister, Nawaz Sharif and Imran Khan have to work for the political solution of the issue.
