Colombo: Once again proving themselves unpredictable, Pakistan lost to England by 15 runs in a low-scoring warm-up match before the journey of International Cricket Council (ICC) World Cup in Colombo on Wednesday.
Pakistan with a strong batting lineup of up to number ten, showed no resistance against the team which came to Sri Lanka with young guns.
Saeed Ajmal, the world number one, proved his class and sent four English men back to pavilion while Raza Hassan and Yasir Arafat bagged two wickets each to restrict the English team to 111.
The green shirts were looking completely uncomfortable against England’s Danny Briggs and Jade Dernbach and gifted six wickets to them for just 29 runs.
Asad Shafiq was the only Pakistani batsman who touched 20 runs mark beside him only four players scored runs in double figure.
