Washington: United States (US) State Department spokeswoman Victoria Nuland Tuesday said that Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) was carrying out a probe in the Peshawar blast, which killed at least three people and injured 21 including US citizens.
During a routine press briefing at State Department, Nuland said that whenever there was matter of a US citizen, FBI carries out a probe to reveal the facts.
“United States is assisting Pakistani security agencies to probe Peshawar attack,” she added.
Responding on the question regarding the responsibility of attack, she said “No one has yet claimed responsibility of the attack therefore we cannot speculate any name.”
Nuland further said that US appreciated the efforts made by Pakistani authorities to save the lives of US citizens.
“We hope that the injured Pakistani and US citizens would soon recover from their wounds.”
