Southampton: South Africa on Tuesday won the toss and decided to bat first against England in second One Day International (ODI).
After winning the toss South Africa skipper AB de Villiers said they were prepared for the pitch to spin or seam.
“We probably would have batted first too, as the wicket is quite dry,” said Alastair Cook, the England skipper.
England have accordingly made one late change, with Samit Patel replacing Chris Woakes in the team, to provide a second spin option.
South Africa’s team: GC Smith (C), HM Amla, D Elgar, AB de Villiers, JP Duminy, F du Plesss, R McLaren, WD Parnell, RJ Peterson, M Morkel and LL Tsotsobe.
England’s team: AN Cook (C), IR Bell, IJL Trott, RS Bopara, EJG Morgan, C Kieswetter, TT Bresnan, SR Patel, GP Swann, JM Anderson and ST Finn.
