Lahore: Federal Interior Minister Abdul Rehman Malik has announced extending Pakistan passport validity period from 5 years to 10 years.
Talking to media at Allama Iqbal International Airport Lahore, he said that all passports that would be made after September 15 will have 10-year validity.
The extension in passport validity could be an advice from Immigration experts.
“We have requested Immigration experts to give advice on improving passport system of the country,” Malik further said.
“All of their suggestions would be regarded and it would be made ensure that there should a well thought out execution plan on them.”
