Bagram: The aircraft of General Martin Dempsey, chairman of the US Joint Chiefs of Staff, was damaged after two rockets fired on a US airbase in Afghanistan early on Tuesday.
Two maintenance officials also got minor injuries, sources said.
The rockets struck the vast Bagram air field overnight, one of them causing damage to the C-17 used Dempsey, who departed the base later Tuesday using another plane, The Associated Press reported.
The aircraft that was hit was parked on the runway along with an array of other aircraft.
