Islamabad: Pakistan Prime Minister Raja Pervaiz Ashraf on Tuesday said that Tehreek-e-Pakistan has proved that democracy is better and solution of all the problems lies in it.
Addressing a gathering on the eve of Independence Day flag hoisting ceremony at Convention Centre, the PM said that the Balochistan issue was the offshoot of the wrong policies of previous governments, however, they were trying to resolve the issue.
He said that the Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) government had formed cabinet members’ committee on the Balochistan issue. He added that they had initiated programmes for the youth of the province and provided them jobs.
“We want to resolve all the issues with India,” he said and added that peace is Afghanistan was necessary for the region.
The prime minister termed the terrorism as curse and said that the country would continue to fight against the terrorism.
Commenting on the power crisis, he said that the government was striving to overcome the issue.
