Buderim: Pakistan Under-19 cricket team on Monday defeated Scotland by 9 wickets in its Second match of ICC U-19 world cup.
Earlier, Scotland won the toss and chose to bat. Opener Ross McLean was top scorer with 59 runs, while middle order batsman Freddie Coleman was the second top scorer with 39. Scotland was bowled out on 200 runs in 49.5 overs. Pakistan bowler Mohammad Nawaz took four wickets for 20.
In reply to this, Pakistan accomplished the target in 36.2 overs for the loss of one wicket. Captain Baber Azam with a brilliant century scored 106 runs just facing 121 balls while Sami Aslam’s inning of 78 runs paved Pakistan’s way to a comfortable win over Scotland. Captain Baber Azam remained unbeaten. Scotland’s Kyle Smith took the only wicket for 36 runs.
